We headed over to France last week to sample some alcoholic delights, ready for our wedding in August.
We set off at a reasonable hour and arrived in France at midday. We tootled off from the channel tunnel to the seaside town of Le Crotoy, on the estuary of the river Somme for some moules et frites and a wander on the beach. Our day then involved a lot of motorway driving to various supermarkets to choose champagne and wines, cheeses and treats! Once loaded up with booze and foods we headed to a village south of Calais called Escalles for some dinner before getting the Eurostar back to Ashford.
