Getting overexcited by the Springtime sunshine we decided to have a BBQ on 26th March! A new record as mid April last year was our earliest BBQ!
So i made some delicious burgers for the occasion…
Makes 4 large or 8 small
500g lamb mince
2-3 shallots
2-4 cloves garlic
2 tsp coriander leaf
2 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
Salt and Pepper
Put the mince in a mixing bowl. In a food processor mix all other ingredients together until finely chopped, add to the mince and stir and mash together until completely blended and sticking together.
Next shape 4 large or 8 small patties (I find the smaller ones stay together better, especially when BBQing).
Leave to rest for 30+mins. Then cook on BBQ / in grill / in frying pan, turning halfway through.
TIP for shaping burgers – use a square of clingfilm, put burger mix in centre then pull up four corners and twist – push out all the air and shape into round patties, pressing down to pull ingredients together…easy!
