Ro&Ad Architecten recently completed a restoration project to build a route to the Dutch Fort de Roovere, which is a 17th century defence structure surrounded by a moat.
The bridge is not visible from a distance and has little effect on the views. The team’s “sunken” bridge follows the line of the fort’s surrounding slope and sits almost flush with the earth and moat. The result is the awe inspiring and aptly named Moses Bridge.
